One thing I like in many other editors is the "current line highlight" -- it just lights up the current line in another color. I would love to have this feature in vim. There are a few specific things I would love to see:
1. Doesn't screw up syntax highlighting (inverse?)
2. Works on the entire line to the end (not just filled in text)
-- This may well be an impossible task, I don't know, just dreaming here :)

Vim 7.0 can now do this easily with:
